Control Assembly: Service and Repair

COMPONENTS

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect the temperature control cable end from the heater unit.




2. Pull out the rheostat with a flat tip (-) screw driver.
3. Disconnect the rheostat connector and remove the rheostat.




4. Remove the shift lever upper cover.




5. Remove the center facia panel mounting screws.




6. Pull out the center facia panel.




7. Disconnect switch extension wire connector, vacuum harness connector, blowers switch connector, A/C switch connector and cigarette lighter connector.
8. Remove the center facia panel.




9. Remove the heater control panel mounting screws.




10. Remove the heater control panel assembly from the center facia panel.

INSTALLATION
Installation is the reverse order of removal.
