Component Tests: Sub-Switch

NOTE: Sub-switch (SET/COAST and RESUME/ACCEL switch) is located in steering wheel and may be referred to as cruise remote control switch.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable and wait at least 30 seconds before proceeding. Remove steering wheel. Locate 3-pin cruise control sub-switch connector M93 under steering wheel. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. Measure resistance between connector M93 terminals No. 1 (Light Blue wire) and No. 3 (Black/White wire). When SET/COAST switch is pressed, resistance should be about 220 ohms. Replace switch if resistance is not as specified.
  3. Measure resistance between connector M93 terminals No. 1 (Light Blue wire) and No. 3 (Black/White wire). When RESUME/ACCEL switch is pressed, resistance should be about 910 ohms. Replace switch if resistance is not as specified.
