Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

NOTE: When battery voltage is excessively low DTCs cannot be read. Check battery voltage before beginning diagnosis.
NOTE: Before replacing any component that scan tool suggests are faulty. Ensure that all wiring connections and harness connectors are okay. Ensure that power and ground circuits are functioning properly. For circuit identification, see appropriate wiring diagram under ENGINE PERFORMANCE under WIRING DIAGRAMS.
NOTE: See PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS and appropriate wiring diagram under ENGINE PERFORMANCE under WIRING DIAGRAMS for PCM harness connector, wire terminal and wire color identification.
NOTE: Perform all voltage tests with a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm impedance unless stated otherwise in test procedure.
