5. Check For Short To Power In Harness

1. Keep the ECM and TCM connectors disconnected.
2. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
3. Measure the voltage between terminal 7 of the ECM harness connector and chassis ground.
4. Measure the voltage between terminal 6 of the ECM harness connector and chassis ground.

• Specification: below 0.5V 

Is voltage within specifications? 

Yes: Check the fault code related to the TCM and proceed with the ECM problem procedure.

No: Repair short to power in harness.
