Component Inspection
■ Check tilt switch
- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
- Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
- Monitor the "TILT UP (DOWN) SWITCH" Parameter on the Scantool. While operating tilt switch.
Specification: Refer the specifications in Fig.1), Fig.2)
- Is the measured current data within specifications?
YES
- Go to 1 to Check tilt motor procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good tilt switch and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace tilt switch and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Check tilt motor
- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
- Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
- Select "ACTUATION TEST" mode on scantool and press [F1] to start
- Dose tilt motor work properly?
YES
- Go to 1 to Check tilt sensor procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good tilt motor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace tilt motor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Check tilt sensor
- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
- Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
- Monitor the "TILT SENSOR" Parameter on the Scantool. While operating tilt switch.
Specification: Refer the specifications in Fig.5)
- Is the measured voltage within specifications in Fig5)?
YES
- Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good tilt motor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace tilt motor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
