DTC DETECTING CONDITION REFERENCE CHART

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor signal voltage
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open in harness
  3. HO2S (B1/S1)
  4. ECM
General Enable Conditions
  • Target lambda = 1
  • Battery voltage > 10.7V
  • Exhaust gas temperature (model) < 900C
  • Upstream O2S Heater control On
Case 1 Enable Conditions
  • Downstream O2S voltage > 0.55V
  • Dew point end check
Threshold Value
  • 0.6V < Upstream O2S voltage < 1.08V
Diagnostic Time
  • 15 sec
Case 2 Enable Conditions
  • Downstream O2S voltage < 0.1V
  • Dew point end check
Threshold Value
  • 0.6V < Upstream O2S voltage < 1.08V
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 sec
Case 3 Enable Conditions
  • Time after dew point end detected > 10 sec
Threshold Value
  • Counter of 'Upstream O2S voltage' > 2V during 0.04sec after heater on->off > 5 times
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
