Repair procedures (F21): Installation

  1. Check the condition of the connector pin of the A/T (foreign material, bent pins, broken pins etc.) and "O" ring after the TCU is removed.
  2. Be sure to match the position of the TCU marking.
    CAUTION: Do not turn more than 60 degrees from the marking.

  3. Install the TCU (A) with the 3 bolts.

    Tightening torque : 

    20-30 Nm (2.0-3.0kgf.m, 14.5-21.7 lb-ft)

    Bolt size (8)  : M8x1.25x20mm

    NOTE: Make sure the correct positions of the TCU and wire.

  4. Install the shift cable (A), the manual lever (B), and the connector (C).

  5. Install the air cleaner assembly.
  6. Connect the (-) terminal to the battery.
  7. Perform N position learning. (Refer to HOW TO PERFORM N POSITION LEARNING .)
  8. Perform initial learning. (Refer to HOW TO PERFORM INITIAL LEARNING .)
