Main Crash Pad Replacement

CAUTION:
  • When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  1. Remove the following items.
    1. Front seat.

      (Refer to FRONT SEAT .)

    2. Floor console

      (Refer to CONSOLE .)

    3. Cluster.
    4. Crash pad lower panel & Reinforce panel.
    5. Audio assembly.
    6. Heater control unit.
    7. Crash pad side air vent.
    8. Glove box & Glove box housing.
    9. Crash pad side cover.
    10. Front pillar trim.

      (Refer to INTERIOR TRIM .)

    11. Steering column

      (Refer to STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT .)

  2. Set the air vent hole to the center with adjusting the knob.
  3. Open the air vent with adjusting the knob.
  4. Insert the air vent remover (09840-1M100) into the air vent hole

  5. Air vent remover (09840-1M100) (A) should be aligned and hung at the end of air vent.

    CAUTION:
    • To prevent the damage of air vent, air vent remover should be aligned and hung at the end of air vent.
  6. Remove the side air vent (B) with pulling the air vent remover (A).

  7. Disconnect the connector (A).

  8. Disconnect the lock pin, disconnect the passenger's air bag connector (A).
  9. Loosen the mounting bolts.

  10. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the photo senor (A).
  11. Disconnect the photo senor connector (B).

  12. After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the crash pad assembly (A).

  13. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
    • Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
    • Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
    • Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
