Main Crash Pad Replacement
CAUTION:
- When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Remove the following items.
- Front seat.
(Refer to FRONT SEAT .)
- Floor console
(Refer to CONSOLE .)
- Cluster.
- Crash pad lower panel & Reinforce panel.
- Audio assembly.
- Heater control unit.
- Crash pad side air vent.
- Glove box & Glove box housing.
- Crash pad side cover.
- Front pillar trim.
(Refer to INTERIOR TRIM .)
- Steering column
(Refer to STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT .)
- Front seat.
- Set the air vent hole to the center with adjusting the knob.
- Open the air vent with adjusting the knob.
- Insert the air vent remover (09840-1M100) into the air vent hole
- Air vent remover (09840-1M100) (A) should be aligned and hung at the end of air vent.
CAUTION:
- To prevent the damage of air vent, air vent remover should be aligned and hung at the end of air vent.
- Remove the side air vent (B) with pulling the air vent remover (A).
- Disconnect the connector (A).
- Disconnect the lock pin, disconnect the passenger's air bag connector (A).
- Loosen the mounting bolts.
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the photo senor (A).
- Disconnect the photo senor connector (B).
- After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the crash pad assembly (A).
- Installation is the reverse of removal.NOTE:
- Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
