Repair Procedures: Replacement

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Use seat covers to avoid damaging any surfaces.
  1. Remove the following items.
    1. Tail gate frame upper trim & Tail gate center trim

      Refer to TAIL GATE .

    2. Tail gate trim

      Refer to TAIL GATE .

    3. Tail gate frame side trim

      Refer to TAIL GATE .

    4. Tail gate glass heater connector

      Refer to REAR GLASS DEFOGGER PRINTED HEATER .

    5. Rear wiper arm

      Refer to REMOVAL .

  2. Disconnect the washer nozzle (B) and high mounted stop lamp connector (A).

  3. Loosen the rear spoiler mounting nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    5.9 ~ 6.4 N.m (0.6 ~ 0.65 kgf.m, 4.3 ~ 4.7 lb-ft)

  4. Remove the rear spoiler (A).

  5. Spread the WD-40 on the side of tail gate glass.
  6. Cut out the adhesive using the cutter (A).
    NOTE:
    • Please use the cutter with a blade length between 8-12 inches.

  7. Enough on the upper, lower, side of tail gate glass. and then cut out the adhesive using the cutter tool (09861-31100).

    [Front]

  8. Remove the tail gate glass (A).
    NOTE:
    • When removing and installing the tail gate glass, an assistant is necessary.
