July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Generator check

  1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
  2. Check the tension of Generator belt.
  3. Check corrosion, damage or looseness of Battery terminal and Generator terminal.
  4. Engine start.
  5. Operate electrical parts (Head lamp, Defoger, etc).
  6. Measure the voltage at 2000 RPM.

    Specification:  Approx 12.5V ~ 14.5V

  7. Is the measured voltage within specification?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector. Or, ECM memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair ".

    NO 

    • Replace the Alternator with an usable one and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the Alternator and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair ".
