Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Monitoring
  1. Poor Connector Connection
  2. Short to Battery in Fuel Level Sender Signal Circuit
  3. Faulty Fuel Level Sender
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage higher than 11V and lower than 16V
  • 2000 sec. delay when failure present
Threshold Value
  • Fuel Tank Level Signal Voltage higher than 4.99V
  • Short circuit to battery
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
