Repair Procedures: Removal
WARNING:
- When removing the high pressure fuel pump, high pressure fuel pipe, delivery pipe, and injector, injury may be caused by leakage of high pressure fuel. For this reason, do not attempt any repairing immediately after engine stops.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
- Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
CAUTION:- When removing the fuel pump connector, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may occur. Delete the code with the diagnostic tool after completion of "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line" work.
- Remove the intake manifold.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")
- Remove the injector foam.
- Disconnect the rail pressure sensor connector (A), and then remove the sensor (B) from the delivery pipe.
Rail Pressure Sensor:
33.3 - 35.3 N.m (3.4 - 3.6 kgf.m, 24.6 - 26.0 lb.ft)
