Repair Procedures: Removal

Information

  1. Shut off the high voltage circuit. (Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES )
  2. Remove the under cover. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
  3. Drain the engine coolant. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "COOLANT ")
  4. Drain the coolant of hybrid motor cooling system. (Hybrid Motor System - "COOLANT ")
  5. Remove the TCM.
    1. Disconnect the TCM connector (A).

    2. Remove the TCM (A) after loosening the bolts and nut.

  6. Remove the Hybrid Power Control Unit (HPCU) assembly. (Refer to Hybrid control system - "HPCU ")
  7. Remove the Hybrid Power Control Unit (HPCU) tray (A).

  8. Loosen the ground line bolt and then removing the wiring (A).

  9. Disconnect the electronic shift actuator connector (A).

  10. Loosen the bolts and then removing the electronic shift actuator (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    20.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.1 - 2.7 kgf.m, 15.2 - 19.5 lb-ft)

  11. Loosen the bolts (A) and then removing the position sensor (B).
