DTC Information and Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
Case 1 Main Action
  • Monitors level 2 process
  1. Contact resistance in connectors
  2. Faulty PCM
Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON" or
  • Engine is running
Threshold Value
  • Actual value is higher or lower than allowable range
  • Engine speed with ETC limp home activated is higher than 1760 rpm
  • Torque monitoring error is occurred
  • Difference between actual and setpoint is bigger than 22 to 400 Nm.
Diagnosis Time
  • 0.52 Seconds
Case 2 Main Action
  • Check RAM and communication connections
Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON"
Threshold value
  • Failure in RAM test, checksum and/or SPI communication
Diagnosis Time
  • 0.1 Seconds
Case 3 Main Action
  • Monitors level 3 process
Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition key is turned "ON"
Threshold Value
  • RAM/ROM error on μ-controller, error in checksum check
  • Communication failure between main controller and monitoring unit
  • Process monitoring test calculation failed
Diagnosis Time
  • Immediately
