DTC Information and Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
Main Action
  • Electrical check
  1. Open in signal harness
  2. Open in ground harness
  3. Poor connection or harness damage
  4. Faulty Heated O2 Sensor (HO2S)
Prerequisite Condition
  • Downstream O2 sensor operative readiness is detected.
    • Sensor element resistance is below 1KΩ or
    • Maximum/normal heating time of sensor heater is longer than 75 seconds.
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V.
Threshold Value
  • Element resistance of downstream O2 sensor is greater than 24kΩ.
Diagnostic Time
  • 2.5 Seconds
MIL-On Condition
  • 3rd Driving Cycle
