Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Move the shift lever to "N".
  2. Turn ignition OFF switch and the disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. Remove the battery and battery tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY and BATTERY TRAY ")

  4. Disconnect the position switch connector (A).

  5. Loosen the nut (A) and then disconnect the shift cable.

  6. Loosen the nut (A) and then remove the manual lever.
  7. Loosen the bolts (B) and then remove the position switch.
