Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - " RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE  ") 

    Information 

    • When removing the fuel pump relay, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may occur. Delete the code with the diagnostic tool after completion of "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel Line" work.
  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  3. Remove the intake manifold.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - " INTAKE MANIFOLD REPAIR PROCEDURES  ") 

  4. Disconnect the rail pressure sensor connector, and then remove the sensor (A) from the delivery pipe.

    Tightening Torque: 

    29.4 - 34.3 N.m (3.0 - 3.5 kgf.m, 21.7 - 25.3 lb-ft)
