Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Install the retainer (A) and then tighten the nut (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    11.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.2 - 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7 - 10.8 lb-ft)

  2. Install the heater and blower.

    (Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning - "HEATER UNIT REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  3. Install the crash pad.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "CRASH PAD REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  4. Install the shift cable (B) and then fix the snap pin (A).

    CAUTION:
    • Before installing, check that the shift lever and manual control lever are placed in the "N" position.
    • Insert the shift cable after checking the direction of projection to prevent wrong assembly.

    • When assembling the snap pin, be careful about the correct direction.

  5. Install the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FLOOR CONSOLE REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  6. Insert the position switch neutral fixed pin (SST No.: 09480 - A3800) (A).

  7. Install the shift cable (A) from the cable bracket.
  8. Push shift cable (A) lightly to "F" direction shown to eliminate free play of shift cable.

    Tighten the nut (B) with the specified torque.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.4 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb-ft)

  9. Remove the position switch neutral fixed pin (SST No..: 09480-A3800) (A).

  10. Install the battery and tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  11. Install the ECM.

    (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  12. Install the air cleaner assembly and air duct.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

    CAUTION:
    • Check that each range of the position switch corresponds to each position of shift lever.
