Repair Procedures: Installation
- Install the retainer (A) and then tighten the nut (B).
Tightening torque:
11.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.2 - 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7 - 10.8 lb-ft)
- Install the heater and blower.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning - "HEATER UNIT REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
- Install the crash pad.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "CRASH PAD REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
- Install the shift cable (B) and then fix the snap pin (A).CAUTION:
- Before installing, check that the shift lever and manual control lever are placed in the "N" position.
- Insert the shift cable after checking the direction of projection to prevent wrong assembly.
- When assembling the snap pin, be careful about the correct direction.
- Install the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FLOOR CONSOLE REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
- Insert the position switch neutral fixed pin (SST No.: 09480 - A3800) (A).
- Install the shift cable (A) from the cable bracket.
- Push shift cable (A) lightly to "F" direction shown to eliminate free play of shift cable.
Tighten the nut (B) with the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 14.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.4 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb-ft)
- Remove the
position switch neutral fixed pin (SST No..: 09480-A3800) (A).
- Install the battery and tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
- Install the ECM.
(Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
- Install the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
CAUTION:- Check that each range of the position switch corresponds to each position of shift lever.
