Repair Procedures: Removal

CAUTION:
  • Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.

    (Refer to General Information - "LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ")

WARNING:
  • Be sure to read and follow the "General Safety Information And Caution " before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
  • Be sure to read and follow the "High Voltage Shut-Off Procedures " before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
  1. Shut off the high voltage circuit.

    (Refer to Automatic Transaxle System - " HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES  ") 

  2. Remove the engine room under cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - " ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER  ") 

  3. Drain the engine coolant.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - " COOLANT  ") 

  4. Drain the coolant of hybrid motor cooling system.

    (Refer to Hybrid Motor System - " COOLANT  ") 

  5. Remove the Hybrid Power Control Unit (HPCU) assembly and tray.

    (Refer to Hybrid Control System - " HPCU (HYBRID POWER CONTROL UNIT)  ") 

  6. Disconnect the electronic shift actuator connector (A).

  7. Disconnect the wiring clip (A).

  8. Loosen the bolts and then removing the electronic shift actuator (A).

  9. Disconnect the position sensor connector (A).

  10. Loosen the bolts and then removing the position sensor (A).
