Unlocking Doors

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

<Requirement>: All doors are locked and ACC and IGN OFF.

  1. Press the button on the door handle with the smart key in hand (Available in the driver/passenger doors).
  2. When the button is activated, the BDC (Body Domain Control Unit) uses the antenna on the door handle to find the smart key.
  3. The smart key transmits a response signal and data using an internal antenna, receives data from the BDC using a receiver, and verifies the authentication key.
NOTE: The BDC can verify smart keys within 0.7 - 1 m (2.2 - 3.2 ft.) from the door handle.
  4. The BDC transmits a door unlock signal to the ICU (Integrated Central Control Unit) via the CAN communication line.
  5. After receiving the door unlock signal, the ICU executes all doors unlock operations.
    NOTE:
    1. It takes 0.5 seconds to open the door after pressing the button on the door handle, so if you pull the handle before 0.5 seconds, the door will not open.
    2. Door lock/unlock by smart key is possible only when all doors are closed.
