Operation Check

  1. If CRUISE indicator light flashes during ASCD operation, stop vehicle and turn ASCD main switch off. Turn ASCD main switch on again. If CRUISE indicator light blinks, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 5  under DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS. If indicator light does not blink, go to next step.
  2. Turn ASCD main switch off. Drive vehicle, and turn ASCD main switch back on. Push SET/COAST switch, and note indicator light. If indicator light blinks, go to next step. If indicator light does not blink, go to step 4).
  3. Perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 7  under DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS. Repair or replace as necessary. If system tests okay, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 6  . Repair or replace as necessary. If system tests okay, replace ASCD control unit.
  4. Slowly depress brake pedal for at least 5 sec. Observe indicator light. If light blinks, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 4  under DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS. If indicator light does not blink, system is okay. Recheck system operation.
