Dome Light Function Check

  1. Check for correct dome light operation. Turn interior light switch to DOOR position, open any door and observe dome light. If dome light operates correctly, go to next step. If dome light does not operate correctly, see appropriate wiring diagram in ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article.
  2. With doors locked, press UNLOCK button on remote controller and measure voltage by backprobing between SECU Gray 24-pin connector terminal No. 31 (Red/Yellow wire) and ground. If battery voltage is present, system is currently functioning correctly. If battery voltage is not present, inspect Red/Yellow and Red/Green wire between SECU and interior light switch for open or short.
