Door Switch Check

CHECK DOOR SWITCHES INPUT SIGNAL
With CONSULT-II

Check door switches ("DOOR SW-DR", "DOOR SW-AS", "DOOR SW-RL", "DOOR SW-RR", "BACK DOOR SW", "TRNK OPN MNTR") in DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II. Refer to DATA MONITOR .

- When any doors are open:
  1. DOOR SW-DR :ON
  2. DOOR SW-AS :ON
  3. DOOR SW-RL :ON
  4. DOOR SW-RR :ON
  5. BACK DOOR SW :ON
  6. TRNK OPN MNTR :ON
- When any doors are closed:
  1. DOOR SW-DR :OFF
  2. DOOR SW-AS :OFF
  3. DOOR SW-RL :OFF
  4. DOOR SW-RR :OFF
  5. BACK DOOR SW :OFF
  6. TRNK OPN MNTR :OFF
Without CONSULT-II

Check voltage between BCM connector M18 or M19 terminals 12, 13, 42, 43, 47, 48 and ground.

OK or NG
1. OK: System is OK.
2. NG: GO TO 2.
CHECK DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect door switch and BCM.
3. Check continuity between door switch connector B8 (Front LH), B108 (Front RH), B18 (Rear LH), B118 (Rear RH) terminal 2 or D503 (Back latch) terminal 7, D707 (Glass hatch) terminal + and BCM connector M18, M19 terminals 12, 13, 42, 43, 47 and 48.

  1. 2 (SB) - 47 (SB) :Continuity should exist
  2. 2 (R/L) - 12 (R/L) :Continuity should exist
  3. 2 (R/Y) - 48 (R/Y) :Continuity should exist
  4. 2 (GR) - 13 (GR) :Continuity should exist
  5. 7 (R/W) - 43 (R/B) :Continuity should exist
  6. + (GR) - 42 (GR) :Continuity should exist
4. Check continuity between door switch connector B8 (Front LH), B108 (Front RH), B18 (Rear LH), B118 (Rear RH) terminal 2, D707 (Glass hatch) terminal + or D503 (Back latch) terminal 7 and ground.
  1. 2 (SB, R/L, R/Y or GR) - Ground :Continuity should not exist
  2. 7 (R/W) - Ground :Continuity should not exist
  3. + (GR) - Ground :Continuity should not exist
OK or NG
1. OK: GO TO 3.
2. NG: Repair or replace harness.
CHECK DOOR SWITCHES
1. Disconnect door switch harness.
2. Check continuity between door switch connector terminals.

OK or NG
1. OK: Check door switch case ground condition (front, rear door and glass hatch) or ground circuit (back door latch).
2. NG: Replace door switch.
