Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter Programming

NOTE:
A Tech 2 scan tool is recommended for programming purposes. Consult scan tool manufacturer owner manual for other scan tools to determine compatibility and usage.
NOTE:
Scan tool must stay connected until all transmitters are programmed.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under driver side of instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
- Select REMOTE FUNCTION ACTUATION. Select SPECIAL FUNCTIONS. Select PROGRAM KEY FOBS. Select number of key fobs to be programmed.
- Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on first transmitter for approximately 15 seconds. Power locks should cycle to confirm programming of first fob is complete.
- Repeat previous step to program up to 4 transmitters.
- Remove scan tool. Exit vehicle. Using remote transmitter, attempt to lock/unlock doors to verify programming. Operate all transmitter functions to verify correct system operation.
