Functions For Knock Sensors Malfunction

When there is no knock sensor signal, the ignition timing of all cylinders is adjusted in retard direction up to 15 deg. (crankshaft angle) according to coolant temperature and engine speed. ECM deactivates the knock control and records malfunctions.
NOTE:
Ignition timing correction of the temperature management control and the knock control are controlled according to the characteristics map.
