O2 Sensor

  1. The O2 sensor can not be tested directly but its control signal can be checked. A circuit tester having an internal resistance of approximately 20,000 ohms is necessary to test the circuit.
  2. Unplug the O2 sensor harness at connector. Insert a fine wire into the vehicle side connector and attach circuit tester. Set tester scale to 2V.
  3. Start engine and check voltage when engine speed is momentarily increased. Tester needle should deflect from 0 to 8V.
