Line Pressure Test
- Road test vehicle to bring transmission to normal operating temperature. Connect pressure gauge to front plug on transmission. See Fig 1 . Place gauge so that it is visible from driver's seat. Connect tachometer to engine.
- Start engine and if necessary, adjust idle speed to 900 RPM (1000 RPM on I-Mark). Depress brake pedal and place selector lever in "D". Note line pressure reading on gauge. Pressure should be approximately as shown in LINE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Repeat line pressure test with selector lever in "R". Pressure should be approximately as shown in LINE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS table.
Test port locations apply to all transmissions.
