Fuel Injection Pump

The fuel injection pump has a fast idle system which is used when coolant is below a specified temperature. A vacuum unit actuates the throttle and increases idle speed. A fuel-cut solenoid is actuated by the ignition switch and stops fuel flow at the pump so engine can be shut down. The injection pump is also equipped with an altitude compensator.
