Test Procedure

  1. Object of test is to check overall performance of transmission and engine by measuring maximum engine speeds in "D" and "R" ranges. Operate engine at normal operating temperature. Install tachometer. Block wheels and apply parking brake.
    NOTE: DO NOT  maintain RPM for more than 5 seconds.
  2. Start engine. Apply brake pedal and place transmission in "D" range. Accelerate engine to full throttle and note maximum RPM obtained. Repeat test in "R" range. Compare reading obtained to specification. Stall speed should be 2250-2550 RPM.
