Power Window Main Switch Circuit
- Remove power window switch from door trim panel. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect power window switch harness connectors. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between power window switch connector terminals No. 5 (Green wire) and 12 (Red wire). See Fig 1
. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Continuity should exist. Check continuity between power window switch connector terminals No. 1 (Green/Black wire) and 7 (Red/Black wire). Continuity should exist.
- Check continuity between power window switch connector terminals No. 6 (Green/Yellow wire) and 9 (Red/Blue wire). See Fig 1
. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Continuity should exist. Using a DVOM, check voltage between power window switch connector terminal No. 11 (Blue wire) and ground, with ignition switch in ON position. Battery voltage should be present. If batter voltage is not present, then repair Blue wire between power window main switch and power window relay connector terminal No. 189. See Fig 2
. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. If wiring is okay, replace power window relay.
- Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between power window switch connector terminal No. 10 (Green/Red wire) and ground. See Fig 1
. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Continuity should exist.
- Check continuity between power window switch connector terminals No. 2 (Green/Blue wire) and 8 (Red/Yellow wire). See Fig 1
. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Continuity should exist. If continuity, replace power window main switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
