Power Window Switch Continuity (Driver's Side Switch)

  1. Remove switch from door trim panel. Disconnect power window switch harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between specified switch terminals with power window switch in specified position. See DRIVER'S POWER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY CHART  .
  2. For switch terminal identification, seeFigure . If continuity is not as specified, replace appropriate switch.

Switch & Position Check Continuity Between Terminals:
Left Front
DOWN 1 & 12; 2 & 7
OFF 1 & 12; 2 & 12
UP 1 & 7; 2 & 12
Right Front
DOWN 7 & 13; 12 & 14
OFF 12 & 13; 12 & 14
UP 7 & 14; 12 & 13
Left Rear
DOWN 6 & 12; 7 & 9
OFF 6 & 12; 9 & 12
UP 6 & 7; 9 & 12
Right Rear
DOWN 5 & 7; 10 & 12
OFF 5 & 12; 10 & 12
UP 5 & 12; 7 & 10
Lock
OFF (Unlock) (1) *
ON (Lock) (2) *
(1) Terminals 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 14 should have continuity when ohmmeter is connected between any 2 terminals.
(2) Terminals 5, 6, 9, 10, 13 and 14 should have continuity when ohmmeter is connected between any 2 terminals.
