Power Mirror Switch Circuit

  1. Disconnect switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between switch connector (harness side) terminal No. 1 and chassis ground. SeeFig 1 . If continuity is present, repair short to ground in White wire.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between connector terminals No. 2 and 3. If continuity is not present, illumination circuit is faulty.
  3. Using a DVOM, check voltage between chassis ground and terminal No. 4 with ignition switch in ACC position. If battery voltage is not present, check CIGAR/RADIO fuse and wiring.
  4. Using an ohmmeter, connect negative lead to connector terminal No. 1. With ohmmeter positive lead, check for continuity at terminals No. 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10. If continuity does not exist at any terminals, repair White wire. If continuity does not exist at one terminal, motor in mirror or circuit itself is faulty.
