Anti-Theft Controller Circuit

NOTE: With anti-theft controller disconnected, starter is inoperative.

Using an ohmmeter or voltmeter, check for continuity or voltage between ground and anti-theft controller connector terminal specified in appropriate ANTI-THEFT CONTROLLER CIRCUIT TEST  . SeeFig 1 . If all circuits test as specified, replace anti-theft controller.

5 (Ignition - ACC Position) OFF Position/ACC Position 0 Volts/12 Volts
6 (Battery +) n/a Battery Voltage
7 (Door Lock Switch) (2) Knob Unlocked/Locked Continuity/No Continuity To Ground
8 (Detect Switch) (2) Unlocked/Locked With Key Continuity/No Continuity To Ground
9 (Indicator Light) n/a (3) Continuity
11 (Ground) n/a Continuity To Ground
12 (Horn) n/a (3) Continuity
13 (Lighting Relay) n/a (3) Continuity
14 (Starter) n/a 0 Volts
(1) Pin numbers not listed are not used.

(2) Includes tailgate switch circuit.

(3) If checking circuit voltage, voltage should exist (12 volts).
