AFFECTED VEHICLES: All model year 1998 through 2000 2.2L Amigo and Rodeo vehicles that have set PCM code P1336 after a Long Block replacement only.

Affected Vehicles

All model year 1998 through 2000 2.2L Amigo and Rodeo vehicles that have set PCM code P1336 after a Long Block replacement only.

Service Information

Some 1998 through 2000 2.2L Rodeo or Amigo that have recently had the engine replaced with a Long Block (part numbers: 8-92062-665-0 or 8-92065-154-0) will set code P1336 for Tooth Error Correction. If the Tooth Error Correction procedure is performed with the Tech 2, and the code does NOT clear, perform a Service Programming Procedure to update the existing PCM Broadcast Code.

Some 1998 2.2L Amigos and Rodeos may show additional symptoms after Re-Programming with the updated Broadcast Code. These symptoms include the "LOW FUEL" light staying on and an inaccurate fuel gauge reading. These vehicles will also require the replacement of the fuel sender assembly.

NOTE: THE OLD AND THE NEW CALIBRATION PART NUMBERS ARE THE SAME. ONLY THE BROADCAST CODES ARE NEW!
