Trouble Shooting: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Isuzu Rodeo, 1998 Isuzu Amigo, and 1998 Honda Passport. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
To verify ABS operation (normal or faulty), perform a system self-check. See ANTI-LOCK SYSTEM SELF-CHECK under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is capable of storing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) when a system malfunction is detected. During a malfunction, ABS warning light may flash or remain illuminated. DTCs can be retrieved by observing ABS warning light, or by using a scan tool. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. If a DTC is not present, but a malfunction is evident, trouble shooting may be performed by symptom. See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS .
