Test C-1/C-2: Front Sensor Output Inspection
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect EHCU harness connector. Raise and support vehicle. Using DVOM set to AC scale, measure AC voltage between appropriate terminals for wheel speed sensor in question at EHCU harness connector. See WHEEL SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION table. Turn appropriate wheel by hand at least one Revolution Per Second (RPS). If AC voltage is less than 200 millivolts, go to next step. If AC voltage is 200 millivolts or greater, go to step 3.
- Disconnect harness connector for wheel speed sensor in question. Measure resistance of wheel speed sensor. If resistance is 2.0-2.8 k/ohms, connector or harness between wheel speed sensor and EHCU is faulty. Repair as necessary. If resistance is not 2.0-2.8 k/ohms, replace wheel speed sensor. After repairs, go to next step.
- Reconnect all components. Ensure all component are properly installed. Verify system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
