Test TC-1: Sensor Output Inspection

  1. Connect scan tool. While test driving vehicle, monitor wheel speed on scan tool. If displayed value is correct, go to step  6. If displayed value is not correct, go to next step.
  2. Check wheel speed sensor harness connections. Repair as necessary. After repairs, go to next step. If connections are okay, replace wheel speed sensor in question, and then go to step  6.
  3. While test driving vehicle, monitor wheel speed on scan tool. If displayed value is correct, go to step  6. If displayed value is not correct, go to next step.
  4. Check sensor rotors. Replace if necessary. After repairs, go to next step. If sensor rotors are okay, replace wheel speed sensor in question, and then go to next step.
  5. Check wire harness and connections between EHCU and wheel speed sensor in question. Repair as necessary. After repairs, go to next step.
  6. Reconnect all components. Ensure all component are properly installed. Verify system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
