DTC 14: CPU Error

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect EHCU harness connectors. Check for continuity between ground and EHCU 16-pin harness connector terminal No. 7 (Black wire) and ECHU 2-pin harness connector terminal No. 2 (Black wire). If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair body ground harness. After repairs, go to step  3.
  2. Turn ignition off. Reconnect EHCU harness connectors. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. Turn ignition on. Verify system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If ABS warning light remains illuminated, retrieve DTCs. If DTC 14 returns, replace EHCU. After repairs, go to next step. If any DTC other than DTC 14 is present, perform appropriate diagnostic test.
  3. Reconnect all components. Ensure all component are properly installed. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. Verify system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
