Solar Sensor
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
A microampere is a unit of electrical current equal to one millionth (10-6
) of an ampere.
Remove solar sensor from instrument panel. Illuminate a 60 watt incandescent lamp, place solar sensor about 6 inches (15 cm) away from lamp, with top of solar sensor facing the light. Using an ammeter set to microampere scale, measure current value between terminals of solar sensor. If reading is about 40 microamperes, solar sensor is okay. If reading is not near specified value, replace solar sensor.
