Automatic Control Unit
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Automatic control unit maintains vehicle cabin temperature and climate for temperature setting at A/C-heater control panel. Cabin climate is maintained by monitoring ambient sensor, in-car sensor, solar sensor, duct sensor and Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Automatic control unit also monitors and controls the position of actuator motors for air inlet door, mix actuator door for temperature control, and mode actuator door to route airflow to appropriate outlet vents. Within each actuator is a potentiometer to signal automatic control unit of the exact position of each actuator motor. Numerous sensor inputs and the exact position of each actuator mode door allows for precise control of cabin climate for optimum passenger comfort.
