Service Information

Included in this bulletin are proper procedures for reprogramming the Genuine Isuzu remote keyless entry/security system. The following quick reference charts are provided for these functions:

NOTE: Since the procedures must be done without any deviations, it may require several attempts. For each required reprogramming function, the procedures must be followed and completed in the sequential order as listed and without any interruptions.

AUTOMATIC ARMING ON

Programming Step Programming Completion
Open and close the driver's door once.  
Turn the ignition switch to OFF(1) . The system chirps once, and the front marker lights and parking lights flash once.
(1) If you do not turn the Ignition Key to "OFF," or Exceed 30 Seconds During the Programming Steps, the Status Indicator LED will turn Off, and the previous Operation Mode will remain unchanged.
AUTOMATIC ARMING OFF

Programming Step Programming Completion
Open and close the driver's door twice.  
Turn the ignition switch to OFF(1) . The system chirps twice, and the front marker lights and parking lights flash twice.
(1) If you do not turn the Ignition Key to "OFF," or Exceed 30 Seconds During the Programming Steps, the Status Indicator LED will turn Off, and the previous Operation Mode will remain unchanged.
VALET MODE ON

Programming Step Programming Completion
Open and close the driver's door 4 times.  
Turn the ignition switch to OFF(1) . The system sounds for 0.6 seconds, and the vehicle's front marker lights and parking lights turn ON for 0.6 seconds.
(1) If you do not turn the Ignition Key to "OFF," or Exceed 30 Seconds During the Programming Steps, the Status Indicator LED will turn Off, and the previous Operation Mode will remain unchanged.

CHIRP OFF
