Diagnostic Aids

Inspect for poor connections or damaged connectors. Observe ACTUAL EGR POSITION display on scan tool while moving all related harnesses and connectors. A change in display will indicate location of fault. Ensure EGR is properly mounted. Reviewing FAILURE RECORDS vehicle mileage since last failure may help determine how often condition that caused failure occurred, and may assist in diagnosing problem.
