SERVICE INFORMATION

The JDS software guide supersedes all previously issued software information. Using this guide (see Fig 1 ) will ensure that the correct software is selected for the system and vehicle being tested.

Software issue DBC 4040 is used for testing 1990 M.Y. XJ-6 sedans. DBC 4040 incorporates two disks "A" and "B". Both disks have identical fault diagnostic menu screens.

If the test required is not on the disk selected, JDS requests that the other disk be installed. To avoid disc changes, refer to the software reference guide (see Fig 1 ) and select the correct disc for the system being tested.

NOTE: Due to a software error, the cruise control test for 1990 XJ-6 sedans should not be used. JDS will ask the operator to probe the "linear gearbox switch", which is not incorporated on 1990 M.Y. sedans (XJ-6).

The attached chart will be updated as new JDS software is released.
