Idle Override


PURPOSE
Idle override is a speed input signal generated by the instrumentation system. In addition to providing information for vehicle road speed display, the signal causes the ECM to inhibit engine idle control at speeds above 3 mph (4.8 kph).

LOCATION
Road speed signal originates with the speed sensor, located at left differential output shaft.
