Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

Note: It is recommended that the inlet elbow is allowed to cool before releasing the IATS, to avoid the insert being loosened.


- Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Intake Air Temperature Sensor:

- Disconnect the multi-connector from the IATS.
- Remove the IATS and copper sealing washer from the air intake elbow.
- Be sure sealing washer is located on the replacement IATS.
- Screw the replacement IATS into the air intake elbow.
- Refit the electrical connector to the IATS.
- Reconnect the battery ground cable.
