Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

TDC Sensor:

1. Raise vehicle on hoist or jack up front and support on safety stands.
2. Remove sensor securing bolts and timing bracket. Pull sensor free from its mounting position.
3. Remove sensor wiring harness from lower "P" clip.
4. From above, unplug harness connector and attach a drawstring to sensor wiring. Remove wiring harness from upper "P" clip.
5. From below, pull sensor and harness down until drawstring is accessible.
6. Attach new sensor wiring to drawstring and pull up from above. Plug in harness connector and attach wiring to upper "P" clip.
7. Place sensor in position, secure bolts and place wiring harness in lower "P" clip. Replace timing bracket.
