Vacuum Switch (Full Load) (XJS)

The contacts of the electrically-operated vacuum switch are actuated by a spring-loaded diaphragm, which monitors intake manifold vacuum. When manifold vacuum falls to low levels due to full load operation, the diaphragm closes the switch contacts. This causes the fuel system to go into open loop mode, enriching the fuel/air ratio to achieve maximum power possible for that throttle opening.
