Crankshaft Sensors (XJS)

XJS models are equipped with 2 crankshaft sensors. The crankshaft sensor at the rear of the engine (flywheel sensor) monitors engine speed. The other sensor, located at the front of the engine (TDC sensor), monitors crankshaft location. This information is sent to ECU by the sensors to control fuel injection pulse rate and ignition timing.
