BELT ADJUSTMENT

Application (2) Tension
A/C Belt
New 125-130 (57-59)
Used 85-90 (39-41)
Alternator & Water Pump Belt
New (3) 125-130 (57-59)
Used 115-120 (52-54)
(1) Tension in Lbs. (kg) Using Belt Tension Gauge.
(2) With pressure applied midway on belt run.
(3) Adjust belt to new belt specification. Run engine for one minute. Shut engine off and allow belt to cool. Reset belt to used belt specification.
