Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor

IAT sensor is located in inlet air elbow, between throttle body and mass airflow sensor. Sensor is a Negative Thermal Coefficient (NTC) thermistor with a shrouded bead for fast response to changing air temperatures. Sensor resistance decreases as air temperature increases. IAT sensor provides an air temperature signal to ECM.
